Terms of Use

Last updated: November 5, 2026

These terms cover your use of this website and the digital guides sold by Softly Said (“we”, “us”). By buying or downloading a guide, you agree to them. If something here is unclear, write to [email protected] before you buy.

What we sell

Softly Said sells digital guides in PDF format: a free guide, the Calm Phrases Playbook, and the Calm Parenting Toolkit. Nothing is shipped. You receive a download link by email right after checkout.

This is not medical advice

Our guides are general parenting information. They are written by a medical doctor, but they are not medical, psychological or legal advice, and they do not create a doctor–patient relationship between you and the author.

If you are worried about your child’s health, development or safety, or about your own wellbeing, talk to your child’s pediatrician or another qualified professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (911 in the United States).

Children are different and so are hard days. We do not promise any result from using a phrase or a method.

Your license

When you buy a guide, you get a personal, non-exclusive license to read it and use it with your own family. You may keep a copy on your own devices and print it for home use.

You may not resell, share, post or distribute the files or their content, in whole or in part, or use them in anything you sell or teach for payment. We keep the copyright to all our guides and to the Softly Said name and logo.

Payments and delivery

Purchases are processed by our payment platform, Gumroad. Prices are shown in US dollars at checkout. Gumroad’s own terms apply to the payment itself. If you do not receive your email, check your spam folder, then write to us.

Refunds

You have 7 days to ask for your money back. The details are in our refund policy.

Limits of our responsibility

The guides are provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the guide. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. The terms in force when you bought a guide still apply to that purchase.
